Rocio Karvis: You are only wearing a mask. We all act differently when we are out of our comfort zone. However, barriers can be broken when we are vulnerable or when we fall in love with someone. If you want to read more about this then here are some insightful books.
Dewey Heersink: If you're unconscious, then you're not even awake to act.
Rosella Figliola: Nobody acts the same way with everybody. The way we conduct ourselves at work is often different from how we are with friends. Who acts the same way they were acting seconds earlier when a cop comes up to the window of their car? It's just a matter of degree. Are you fake or shy? Or a private person, or insecure or a thousand other things besides fake.
Theresia Fashaw: We all act fake to a degree in front of other people. In front of people we admire or are accountable to, we act smart, respectful, etc.In front of people we don't like, we act like d!cks and power grab.
Norris Rosener: WE a! re what WE are, to act like others is fake.
Augustus Sarria: Everyone assumes different roles depending on the social context. You wouldn't behave the same way around a roomful of second-graders that you were asked to supervise as you would if you were making a presentation before Congress, and you'd act differently still in the bedroom with a long-time spouse. That's not being "fake," that's picking up on social context and behaving accordingly.
