Sherrill Botting: Hydrogen suffers the same limitations that electric vehicles have. Limited range for the amount of fuel you can store reasonably. Gasoline still has almost a 10x advantage of power density over electricity and it is similar to hydrogen. One of the best ways to store hydrogen, and I hear very little of it, is to store hydrogen as a metal hydride. Then you eliminate the high pressure cylinders and you can pack a lot more hydrogen into a hydride than just to compress it. It is on par with liquidification of H2 which has enormous problems on it's own.Almost all of the car companies have major Hydrogen development programs going on. They have to be ready for mandates. But there are also many private companies developing hydrogen on their own. Just google "companies developing hydrogen fuels"...Show more
