Ariel Arons: Lots of games consist of Java, and C++.
Antwan Schrum: What program do most big companies (microsoft for example) program in?
Jerrod Guilfoil: CC++ and Assembly would be the most common. On top of that, you'd need extensive knowledge of APIs and libraries such as DirectX and Open-GL.
Clare Hoard: It's not matter of programming language. Though the most common ones are C based (C++, .NET, C#) or Java based. The rest is matter of vido programming, which can be done on the basis of DirectX, OpenGL, or direct v ideo card programming (this is not used nowdays).
Raye Tredennick: I know of Lingo for Shockwave games and you should to buy Adobe(Macromedia) Director to write the code and compile in. I would recommend the following book:Director 8 and Lingo Authorized (3rd Edition) by Gross, Phil
Johnny Sirko: c++ or some form thereofat least that's what my husband thinks =)
Sol Bayn: NOT the easiest. I don't care how difficult the ! language is, just the most widely used language for games.
Randal Deyarmond: Probably c++
